This was less of a scene and more of an add-on to an existing one. I had created it because I was concerned that the basis for Kalynn and Layne’s relationship was too much into the negative. They needed a scene where they were having fun.
When I reached the edit stage, and I needed to cut back on a ballooning word count, I decided to let this one go because it was not advancing the plot. I kind of regret that I had to do it. So, I’m willing to say that this was an event that happened within the context of the story, but wasn’t mentioned in the book.
